Taking the CELTA course with ILSC was immensely rewarding. Not only is the qualification often a requirement for employment opportunities, but the knowledge acquired and the skills practiced during the course have increased my confidence in lesson planning and classroom management. It was great to get some hands on experience teaching, as well as observing our peers to get a broader sense of what works and what doesn't work in the classroom. Huge shout-out to the incredible tutors who work their butts off to provide extensive support and feedback to each individual trainee throughout the course.
The teachers are fantastic. No complaints. Amazing people. Amazing talent.
I was impressed from the beginning orientation session and I was not disappointed after getting into the course. Having already received education training (Bachelor of Education) I recognized modern learning theory and gained a lot of specific application strategies for language learning facilitation. The CELTA course is certainly a quality and in-depth professional development program that can empower you (with comprehensive training) to be more effective as a teacher.
Excellent teachers, very supportive and a clear outline and expectation given throughout the whole course.
Overall, very good program. Our tutors were excellent - encouraging, caring, nurturing, knowledgeable and patient. I would like it if the program could be spread out to 5 weeks to give us some breathing room between TPs and assignments, i.e. time for reflection, to digest and review what we've just learned before the next class. The pace is too quick for four weeks. The classroom is small - we could fit in but not much room to breathe.
