Live Language in Glasgow was established in 2002 and appeared in the 'Top 100 schools in the UK' feature in the EL Gazette. We are a small, friendly school and our staff are passionate about the development of our students and of ourselves too.

The majority of our students are with us learning English, but we teach foreign languages too. These include Spanish, Japanese, Arabic, Italian, German, French, Portuguese, Polish and Chinese to name a few. We celebrate diversity in our school and welcome people from all over the world. Just visit our café to see this for yourself.

We are here to provide support and give you the benefit of our experience while you study the CELTA. We look forward to welcoming you to our school and helping you achieve the first step towards a new and exciting career in EFL. Next year, we will also be offering post-CELTA teacher training workshops to continue your professional development.

We are partners with international language schools and can guarantee you an interview with one of the largest EFL school networks (Please note: Due to visa regulations in some countries, this opportunity is subject to restrictions in regards to educational background and nationality).

If you need to move to Glasgow during your time on the course, we are happy to help you find accommodation either in our student residence or elsewhere.

Course Feedback

"Live Language is an excellent place to sit your CELTA. The tutors were outstanding; supportive, knowledgeable and always available to help. They gave us excellent guidance whilst encouraging us to work independently. All of the staff were very friendly and made us feel like part of the team. The school is easy to find and only a short walk from central Glasgow. The facilities are good but you have to keep in mind that they are shared with staff and you may not have access to printing or photocopying at peak times. Overall I would recommend Live Language to anyone thinking of sitting the CELTA. "

"Friendly tutors and a great learning experience overall."
, CELTA student,
"Excellent tutors, who I cannot praise enough, and an environment offering fantastic support . Our tutors were very professional, feedback was always honest, but accompanied by structured advice to help us focus on those areas where we could improve. The course was demanding but stimulating at the same time ,but I would certainly emphasise to any prospective candidate to clear their calendar if doing the one month intensive course which is what I did. I also found the location of the school to be excellent, and a 5 minute walk from the city's biggest reference library . I was more than happy with my choice of language school for my Celta study. "
