School Description

The International Examination Centre (I.E.C) at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport offers a wide range of international exams and preparation courses that are tailored to suit learners with different levels of linguistic competence. The Centre offers outstanding educational services to all sectors of the society nationally and internationally. These services are provided to all candidates and test takers with different age levels. All exams offered by the Centre are globally recognized by international educational institutions. Moreover, the Centre has proven enormous success in running international exams based on international standards.

Cambridge Authorised Testing and Preparation Centre (EG230), part of the I.E.C, offers Cambridge exams such as Cambridge English for Young Learners (Starters, Movers and Flyers), Cambridge English for Schools (KET, PET and FCE for Schools), Cambridge English for Adults (KET, PET, FCE and CAE), BEC (Higher, Preliminary and vantage), Linguaskill (General and for Business), CEPT, and teaching qualifications (TKT and CELTA). We also provide IELTS exams in collaboration with IDP Australia.

Refund Policy

This policy applies to candidates in all branches of the International
Examination Centre I.E.C.
 No refund will be given to candidates who are expelled for breaching the
code of conduct.
 The applicant shall comply with all data and information contained in the
submitted request, which should be filled by the candidate.
Requests that do not comply with the conditions below will not be processed:
•All requests must be signed, dated and returned to the Centre Admin team
 Candidates can apply for refund requests before the course starts.
Please check your booking confirmation for dates. (you will be
notified by the centre via email)
 A 1000 L.E nonrefundable registration fee must be paid before your
interview (whether accepted or not after the interview).
 Requests submitted after the course starts will not be accepted.
1. We will consider transferring the fees to another course in the following
exceptional circumstances:
 In the case of illness or accident that prevents the attendance of
the course (original dated medical report should be provided and
to be returned after checking)
 Death of first degree relative (original death certificate should be
submitted and to be returned after checking).
 In case of mandatory military service (original military service
document to be submitted and returned after checking).
In all cases, the submitted documents must be dated, stamped and written on
a (headed paper).

2. In case of cancellation:
 four weeks or more before the course starting date, 20% of
our total fee will be retained.
 Less than two weeks’ notice, 50% of our total fee will be
retained.
 In the final ten days before the starting date our total fee will
be retained.
In case a course is being cancelled by the centre, all fees will be
refunded. The Centre has the right whether to accept or reject refund
requests
Disclaimer
Every effort has been made to ensure the availability of our courses. However, we cannot
guarantee that places will be available for any particular course. External factors may impact the
course’s availability; such as low number of registrations, courses being modified, discontinued
or replaced, as well as any death or departure of Teaching centre staff members that may make
it impossible.
The Centre reserves the right not to provide any particular course, to make variations to the
content or method of delivery of courses, to discontinue courses and to merge or combine
courses if such action is reasonably considered to improve pedagogical content.
If the Centre discontinues any running course, we will use reasonable endeavors to provide a
suitable alternative course and will take all reasonable steps to minimise any disruption which
might result from such changes.
