Perfect!

The course has been a game changer for me. It is very useful and well-organised. All materials were relevant. The materials were logically placed on the google drive even though we had a lot of files uploaded. The quiz 'Where can you find... ?' was very helpful at the beggining. Our tutors were extremely helpful as well as responsive. I found it very motivating to start the course with more help from the tutors and then move forward more independently. I appreciated the feedback stage a lot. It is useful to look at your lesson from different perspectives. I definately enjoyed the course. Thank you for the opportunity!

I would certaily recommend doing CELTA with Akcent IH. Despite teaching English as a second language for over 20 years, I learnt many revolutionary techniques I can apply in my classrooms. However, for me the face to face option would be more convenient and comfortable then the online one.

I call myself lucky for joining Celta Course, and this was my starting point to experience and learn different perspectives. I was worried at the beginning that I will not be able to go through but the support from my experienced tutors was excellent and team work from my peers was amazing and I realized, there is something precious that I am carrying and I have to deliver till the end. It was great meeting people from other countries around the world and working together made me more confident and also learned new strategies throughout the course. My experience was fantastic and I can see the benefit of doing the course online. Am proud of being a Celta Trainee. LIVE LONG CELTA!

It was a difficult course, but the support from the tutors has been amazing and it was a really great experience. I have learned lots of insightful things and it helped me change completely my perspective on what it means to be a teacher. Being online, the effort of the tutors was greatly appreciated, as we had access to a lot of materials and their continuous guidance made a difference. All in all, it is was a valuable experience.

It was the hardest thing I've ever done but it was worth it, and I'd do iygt again. It changed my life, I know so much about myself now that I didn't know before taking Celta!

Had a good experience, all the tutors were very friendly and competent. I definitely learned something and I'm happy to have chosen this school over another that I initially applied to.

The pedagogical side of the course was excellent, and the sessions were clear and informative. Tutors were extremely helpful and always around, even at the weekend. Super friendly and useful feedback. You are set up to succeed. That said, I would say that at administration level, it needed to be better in terms of ensuring there were students for the classes (and the same ones consistently), in particular the externally assessed LSA. It made it very difficult to plan, and I had some issues as a result. It is always difficult with student numbers, but I feel that a lot more effort could be made in this regard (financial incentives). Overall I would definitely recommend the course, with that one caveat.

The Delta course is a lot of work, but the tutors at Akcent have worked hard to arrange the schedule so that it’s as balanced as possible. I learned a lot and felt supported all the way through.

It was a great experience!

The course was as demanding and intense as we were warned that it would be, however the tutors were extremely supportive and provided the framework necessary to ensure our success. They patiently answered our endless questions, pointed us to resources that would enable us to complete our assignments, and gave us detailed feedback to help us improve our teaching practices.

Course tutors were very professional and patient answering all our questions. The course itself was very intense and sometimes felt like you don't have time to absorb new information. The course gave a lot of new tools ans insights on the teaching process and how to approach different kind of students.

It was hard and I barely coped with it. But made it. Tutors were great and provided very constructive feedback.

It's been an effective and pleasant course. I liked the people - tutors as well as colleagues and Czech students who attended the course. I'll remember it kindly.

I enjoyed the course a lot and I think I learnt a lot, too. There were a few things I thought would be incapplicable in real life to the extent Akcent wanted us to do them (e.g. asking too many ICQs). I would have appreciated being told at the beginning of the course what I need to do to get a Pass A.

I thought the course was well-organised and that the quality of the lessons was very good on the whole.

Excellent course and well-run by the course coordinator. Very insightful input sessions and very learner-centered approach to instruction overall. I feel a lot more confident on lexis, grammar, discourse, pronunciation and all of the skills, especially writing. Staff are very helpful most of the time, and there is a genuine concern on their behalf for candidates to succeed. However, my main issue with the whole course, and one that needs serious improvement in all of our opinions, is the lack of proper analysis of the two main constituents of the Delta: background essays and lesson plans. At no stage was there a thorough breakdown of these two main components; instead, we all felt that we were simply handed sample essays and sample lesson plans and told to replicate them after a quick chat with our partners. This is not good enough. When teaching a certain genre to learners, it would not be acceptable to simply hand them an example and tell them to get on with it. A thorough systematic analysis of key points needs addressing for such vital components of the course (in reality, only the lesson execution itself is more important). Given that 75% of Delta candidates failed an essay at some stage on the course, a lot more time, energy, resources, analysis and review should have been spent here.

The course was intense, but overall, I learned so much. I feel like I was given the tools I will need to be an effective teacher. I had a great experience with my own tutors and the administrative staff was always helpful.

I was thoroughly engaged and highly stimulated intellectually by this course. Everything about the course, from the tutors to the facilities, was top-notch. I left with a feeling of immense satisfaction due to the challenges faced and overcome while on the course. I left also with knowledge that will act as a steadfast foundation for my future career. The course has set me up on track to pursue a rewarding and valuble career by giving me the toolkit that I will need to do this. By taking this course I have also discovered the path that I will need to stay on if I wish to make my dream of becoming a good teacher a reality.

Very stressful and time constrained, but extremely useful and practical

The tutors were great: friendly and approachable, passionate, competent and with a lot of experience in running CELTA courses. The course was very intensive as well as interesting because of the teaching approach. Definitely it was worth doing it for me not having any previous teaching experience. I now feel much more confident about starting a career in teaching English. Thank you Akcent IH!

I am so impressed, mostly with the course delivery and the excellent mentoring of the tutors. Michelle and Cathy really showed how to act as facilitator for the students learning.

Overall, the course was helpful in providing me with useful tips on how to convey the meaning of vocabulary words and functional language. I learned different ways to plan my lessons and how to present the material.

It was perfect, I enjoyed every single day of it.
