The course was amazing, I went in the course with the expectation of having really difficult assignments and doing different teaching practices but everyone was so nice and supportive. The tutors, Luca and Vanja were super helpful, productive and efficient. They were understanding and always open to help. The students are true to their levels and were so cooperative and encouraging in the lessons. The classmates are awesome, we help each other out to prepare for classes and assignments, I really appreciate the experience that IH Budapest had given me. Thank you so much for the knowledge and the opportunity to advance myself 🥰

Not only has it made me a different teacher, but definitely a different person. The tutors are most knowledgeable, experienced, helpful and supportive. I attended an online course, so I couldn't rate the location. And about my CELTA experience, I'd say it's fabulous. The duration was for a month, so, it's quite rigorous. The experience was worth it. I have done my bachelor's in education from India. I've been teaching for years, still I'd say I've gained immensely from this course. The importance of different stages in planning, how important it's to have a student centric class. The importance of various teaching methods. The importance of MFPA and the right order of using it. The DVD observations were also worth watching. I feel very confident after doing this course, as I have clearly understood what effective teaching does mean. The trainers Antony Turner, Eszter know their job well. As an experienced teacher I never felt for a single time that they are talking something impractical. Each input session was very useful and there's a lot of take away from it. There are so many takeaways from this course. I think I could mention a few. I've no doubt whatsoever that all these substantial inputs/techniques that I've learnt here, are completely going to reflect in my teaching. I really feel that this was one of the best decisions of my life. But I've one regret and that's I could have done it some ten/fifteen years ago. I definitely don't regret choosing IH Budapest for my CELTA. I've met people from all over the world and I've had the chance to better myself under the guidance of amazing tutors. The school was moving from one building to another one, and even though that was an extremely stressful time, the tutors made that transition for the students as smooth as possible and were extremely helpful.

The course completely fulfilled my expectations. I learnt a great deal about teaching and about teaching English in particular and it was of note that the teachers themselves used the methods that they taught us to teach us. It was also made clear that I still had a lot to learn, but I now feel well equipped to undertake that journey. The specific questions (tutors, admin, facilities, location) that I have been asked about evaluating are rather difficult to answer in the case of the course I took part in, because the location where the CELTA training took place moved during the course, and some of the facilities in the new premises were not completely ready. This resulted in imperfect situations for which improvised solutions had to be found on an ad hoc basis. Despite heroic efforts by both the tutorial and administrative staff this did result in a small but noticeable amount of disruption. That is the reason why I have given some 4 rather than 5 star ratings. However this was clearly a unique situation and all the AH staff are to be commended on their planning for the move and the effort they put in to make it run as smoothly as possible.

CELTA is a great learning experience for me, both in terms of learning and starting a career as a teacher. The greatest thing about the course is that they do not always give you the answers but help you ask the right questions and then work to find the answers.

I was absolutely satisfied with the course. Very intense, but I expected it to be. The teachers were fully prepared and gave us excellent training. We had to teach from the first day, but it was a good experience. I have learned a lot from the teachers' and peer group's feedback on my teaching. The group was amazing. I loved working together with them and they were all so helpful and hardworking. Since the course, I had a summer teaching job in the UK and currently have a permanent job, teaching Functional Skills English to adults. I'd recommend this course to anyone, who feel committed to learning and working hard, meet new people and gain loads of experience.

The course was amazing. Staff and tutors were very professional. The only thing missing was the technology, classes were very low-tech and we didn't train on using powerpoints and other resources because classes didn't have screens or computers.

Even though the course is very intensive the tutors and the collegues were very nice and supportive. I enjoyed being there and I have learnt a lot.

I had a great experience during my time in IH Budapest. The tutors were extremely knowledgeable and at the same time approachable. I was very satisfied with the course overall. I only wish there was at least one session regarding the use of technology in teaching.

The tutors were excellent and the structure of the course over a five week period was a perfect fit for my learning style. When I started my first ESL teaching job, I noticed right away how well-equipped I was from the CELTA training.

I immensely enjoyed the whole course and was satisfied with the tutors and the staff, as well. Sometimes, it would have been helpful if we had had the chance to use things in the teachers' room. Also, the snack bar was a bit too expensive, so we often had to go to some other place to buy coffee or something to nibble at. I think that even a small discount for CELTA students would easily solve this problem. Other than that, I found the course itself and its administration really impressive.

I learned so much taking this course and all the tutors were great. They were very helpful and knowledgable. The location is near several restaurants and some tourist sites so it was nice to explore on the weekend. I would definitely recommend this course to others!

The course was highly practical, very intense and super useful for me. The tutors were were helpful, gave lots of feedback (which we all needed) and were straightforward but also gracious. Those 30-days were the most challenging days of my life but it was worth it because I can see it's "fruit" in my teachings.

It was an excellent course, and very well managed by the course tutors. The staff were helpful and I enjoyed the whole experience very much. I cannot believe how much work the tutors put into leading the sessions. A great experience and it is going to help my teaching a lot. I would have liked to have more and better functioning computers with English keybord and more reference materials in the CELTA room. Apart from that, all was good.

I'd heard that doing CELTA was great at IH Budapest but I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. The tutoring was amazing and we were given such useful feedback on our teaching that it was easy to improve. I found the pace of the course just right and found all the resources most helpful. Overall it was a fantastic experience and amazing value for money

The course is good for learning how to teach groups, teaching was very good . We had a very good team on the course. The course on the other hand does not provide insight for individual tutoring, or for teaching beginners - I believe that should be added as well.

Excellent course and tutors. I had no teaching experience from before, so I was feeling pretty lost and very nervous. But I knew I wanted to learn how to teach ESL. Now I feel ready to teach and I'm filled with inspiration from those 4 weeks. I know the Celta is a training in teaching techniques and classroom management, I'm not a professional teacher yet. That will come over time with practice and experience. The techniques or the style of teaching that the Celta is, are really good. I wish had a Celta teacher for my English lessons! It was hard work for sure, but I loved every step of it. My peers were fantastic too, we were a great team. Thank you!

I've found the course both challenging and rewarding.

I loved it! The lessons were great and although it was intense, the staff were approachable and so helpful, the course was always fun and very interesting.

To start with, I am glad I chose to do CELTA in Budapest. Our tutors Mike and Vanja were brilliant, very helpful, very kind and it was fun to spend this whole month with them. All in all, everything was very well organised and we were provided with all the materials and equipment necessary to succeed in the course. I believe I learnt lot more within that month than throughout my university studies.

It was one of the best experiences of my life. I recommend IH Budapest to everybody who is considering taking CELTA course.

It was challenging, but amazing! I was really enjoying the course and now when it's almost my 30th after-CELTA lesson here in Moscow I must say it IS crutial to accomplish CELTA and get the better understanding of what our job is, how we must do what we do and why we teach.
