Istanbul is a major city in Turkey that straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait. Its Old City reflects cultural influences of the many empires that once ruled here. In the Sultanahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for centuries the site of chariot races, and Egyptian obelisks also remain. The iconic Byzantine Hagia Sophia features a soaring 6th-century dome and rare Christian mosaics.
Throughout the CELTA course, I have shown steady progress in developing my teaching skills, applying a learner‑centred approach, and reflecting thoughtfully on feedback. I have become more aware of lesson aims, classroom staging, and ways to respond to learners’ needs effectively. I have also improved in clarifying language, giving clear instructions, and managing classroom interaction with growing confidence. My professionalism, responsiveness to feedback, and commitment to continuous improvement have contributed positively to my development as an English language teacher.

These classes have helped me improve a lot. I feel much more confident in class. I'm grateful to ITI's knowledgeable and dedicated teachers.
