My main difficulty with the course was that much of Module Three felt like a guessing game. I often felt that candidates were expected to work out complex assignment requirements independently from written instructions rather than being guided through them. As teachers, we are trained to make difficult concepts accessible to learners, explain expectations clearly, and support understanding before expecting independent performance. For this reason, I found it surprising that there were no structured seminars or workshops explaining what needs analysis, diagnostic testing, learning priorities, and assignment expectations should actually look like in practice. Unfortunately, I only felt that I fully understood what was expected after approximately four months on the course, leaving me with only about one month to complete and finalise the assignment. Personally, I learn much more effectively through listening, discussion, examples and guided explanation than through reading large amounts of written guidance. Looking back, I still wonder why no introductory seminars or recorded workshops were organised to help candidates understand the assignment requirements from the beginning.
Good communication between tutors and tutees. My emails were always promptly answered. Tutors were almost always available which for a course this intense is very important. A good experience that I would be happy to recommend to others.
Although it was an intensive course, with the support and guidance of the tutors, I was able to complete it. It was difficult and challenging, but I already miss my classes. It was such a meaningful and heartwarming experience.
The guidance received was very helpful and the weekly exam practice really useful, I feel well-prepared to take the exam, thank you all!
I really enjoyed the course. The staff and my tutor were very patient and did their best to help us. It felt professional and academic, but also welcoming. I'm glad I got to learn with such nice people and a good institution.
