Istanbul is a major city in Turkey that straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosphorus Strait. Its Old City reflects cultural influences of the many empires that once ruled here. In the Sultanahmet district, the open-air, Roman-era Hippodrome was for centuries the site of chariot races, and Egyptian obelisks also remain. The iconic Byzantine Hagia Sophia features a soaring 6th-century dome and rare Christian mosaics.

CELTA is an intense course, but also an extremely rewarding one, and the tutors and the staff at the ITI helped to turn it into an utterly enjoyable experience!
The tutors were outstanding – knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in our development as teachers. Admin staff were incredibly efficient and friendly; everything ran smoothly from day one. And the location in the heart of the Old City couldn’t have been better – great food, quiet cafés , and a real community feel. Easily the best professional development decision I’ve ever made.
