When I first considered registering for this course, I had many doubts about whether I would learn something useful and practical. Now that weeks have passed, I've learned many new things and been exposed to ideas that have made me think about simpler but more important concepts. Having taught learners of all ages, I never considered the actual roles of educators and learners and the effect these roles have on outcomes. I always measured the success of my classes by checking if all the theoretical steps and procedures of teaching were followed. After attending this course, I've realized that teaching is much more than just transferring knowledge and information to learners. I tried to apply every new piece of information I learned throughout the course to my classes daily, and I was surprised to see how creating an environment where trust is built, self-awareness is increased, and relationships are affirmed can enhance the learning process for learners. Overall, I now have a completely different opinion compared to what I initially thought. I believe this course was exactly what I needed, especially as I have felt lost, burnt out, and confused about how to bond and connect with my students and remain academically and emotionally engaged with them.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course at ITI thanks to the dedication of the professional and caring tutors and staff.
It was a pleasure meeting some new people and learning from them. Even though it was a difficult time I can say I learned a lot.
It was a fantastic experience which gave me a different view of learning and teaching.
A very good and challenging experience
