School Description

The Missouri State University CELTA offers a 5-week face-to-face course and the CELTA Online. The 5-week program is currently the only of its kind offered in the U.S. This allows us to offer a number of unique advantages, including:
•More time to process what you are learning
•More time to ask questions and interact with your CELTA tutors and other candidates
•3-day weekends to dedicate to making teaching plans and working on assignments
•More time with your teaching practice students
•A less intense pace—usually CELTA candidates feel tremendous pressure and experience lack of sleep trying to get all the work done in just four weeks

We now also offer the CELTA Online in the fall and spring!

Additionally, being located on the Missouri State University campus allows you to take advantage of many resources and facilities other programs cannot provide, including:

As part of the course, we offer information on job-hunting along with a resume writing workshop.

Accommodation

As part of the application process, we will send a list of housing options for all those from outside Springfield. For the 5-week course, the average cost of housing is 750 USD. For the 2-week on-site portion of the CELTA Online, the average cost is $300-400.

Refund Policy

We require full payment 3 weeks before the course begins. The course fee is nonrefundable. Refunds of the course fee will only be considered under catastrophic circumstances.
