I have never taught before and the CELTA at Apollo was an amazing experience. I don't think I've ever learnt so much in such a short amount of time. The course is very demanding but it creates a sense of comaradarie between the participants as you'll be helping and supporting each other throughout. Jon and Bogdan were amazing tutors. They will guide you on your journey, and will give you the extra support you need if you struggle. I did my best on the course and Jon amazingly supported me in getting a job. He offered advice for Apollo and non-Apollo positions, and then even put me forward for a position that I am now working in!

It was a great experience on the course. The tutors are very experienced and highly qualified, they are friendly and always ready to povide all the help and support if needed. The structure of the course is logical, all the infomation is practice oriented, you can incorporate it directly into your lessons. There is plenty of time for teaching practice and observation of experienced teachers, tutors and peers. The feedback from tutors is clear, fair and really helpful. All that knowledge and experience I gained on the course is invaluable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my four weeks in the CELTA program. It is truly intense but well worth it! I appreciate the time and effort the instructors poured into each of us. Their teaching styles were quite different which was interesting and great! They generously shared wisdom and skills from their years of experience. They gave clear, constructive feedback and encouragement so we could improve each time we taught. We genuinely felt they were striving to help us succeed. One unexpected benefit was the camaraderie our group shared. Practice teaching with others committed to learning, improving, and encouraging one another was pleasant and motivating.

The course was thorough and intense. It really tests the resolve of its teachers. Overall it was worth it, but during its difficult to manage sleep, health etc I feel like it gives the tools to be an effective teacher in the future.
