In my opinion, the CELTA journey, although highly intensive and challenging, is richly rewarding. The one-month experience provided me with a plethora of valuable knowledge and skills that facilitated my further advancement as an English teacher. After the course, I feel that what I do, including planning lessons, giving instructions, monitoring, or managing resources, has become more systematic, purposeful, and effective. I was also thankful that my tutors were very supportive and dedicated during the course, guiding all trainees with their wealth of knowledge, experience, and skills. They always gave constructive feedback sensitively to acknowledge trainees' strengths and indicate areas that require further improvement. Despite the intensity of the course, the tutors made the experience much less stressful with their readiness to help and great sense of humor. Furthermore, my fellow trainees were highly approachable and helpful, so we had a very positive environment where we could comfortably liaise and collaborate to make our journey more enjoyable. Hence, if you want to become a better teacher, you should enroll in the CELTA course. <3

I've had an amazing experience with tangible, recognizable improvements in my skills from the course. It's well structured and designed so that the trainees have a compounded experience day by day. I was equally favored to have Mr. Jon, Mr. Bogdan, and Ms. Lise who brought vast experiences and support for constructive feedback. To sum up, an exciting course, with great tutors and a great chance to learn and make lifelong networks.

I took this course in May and have stayed in touch with several of my coursemates since. We are all in agreement that even though it could be challenging at times, it was absolutely worthwhile and has made us into much better teachers than we would have been without it. The tutors provided constructive feedback while always being very encouraging, the theory side that they delivered was engaging and genuinely useful (not always my experience with professional development courses!), and even several months later they have been happy to continue giving support with careers advice, and sometimes my general questions about living in Vietnam as a foreigner. The course administrator Minh is also excellent and the whole course feels very well organised, which is essential as there is a lot to fit in to a relatively short space of time. The building is located in a nice district of HCMC a short distance from the city centre, and the classrooms have all the modern equipment e.g. smart boards that you would expect. I really can't recommend this course highly enough to anyone who wants to be an EFL teacher, whether in Vietnam or elsewhere. It will give you a really good foundation for English language teaching as a career, and if you're new to the country it's a great way to meet people and get advice on the general EFL landscape here from people who actually know what they're talking about. It's also pretty good fun :) Definitely worth a couple of sleepless nights!

The CELTA course has been a great experience for me! The tutors really support you every step of the way! Initially, I was worried about being able to pass as I've never taught before, besides a short period of tutoring, but I was able to quickly grow during the 1-month course and I'm even teaching in Vietnam a couple of months after receiving my CELTA certification! The tutors were the best part of the course for sure.
