The course was taught excellently, and the staff were very helpful whenever we were in need of assistance. I always felt like I was well informed as to how well I was doing in the course. There was a great camaraderie that developed with the students, and friendships were formed that will last a long time. It would have been nice if the class could have been held in one of the other Apollo locations which had more amenities within walking distance (e.g. modern apartments, western-style restaurants); the location was inconvenient for some students who were not as adventurous with eating at the little Vietnamese food shops nearby. Another bigger inconvenience is that we were required to use our personal Google accounts to log into the school's computers to print and display our presentations in the classroom (we were not allowed to hook our laptops or USB drives to the screens or printer). However, the overall experience was extremely positive and I'd recommend it to anybody who wants to become an English teacher.

Well managed and constructive

As a Chinese participant undertaking CELTA, I am delighted to have selected Apollo Center in HCMC in Vietnam among all available institutions in Asia. I consider my investment here to be well justified. The training was rigorous yet fulfilling. I received courteous and attentive service from both administrative personnel and tutors before and during the programme. Throughout my studies, I consistently felt confident in the quality of tuition provided. My tutors demonstrated outstanding professionalism and enthusiasm. Their dedicated support enabled me to complete all the teaching practices and the assignments effectively. Personally, I have gained valuable insights into delivering instructions, focusing on core lesson objectives and analysing learner needs. These takeaways have proven extremely useful for my professional practice, despite my many years of experience in education. Therefore, I want to express my gratitude for the whole team and would wholeheartedly recommend this centre to my colleagues and friends down the line.

Jon and Lise were amazing tutors; I learned a lot from them. This CELTA course will definitely provide you with a very strong foundation for communicative language teaching, whether you're new to teaching or have been doing this for a while. It is challenging but also manageable if you can plan ahead, allocate your time wisely and talk to your fellow trainees.

I had a truly amazing experience taking this course. It was hard and really intense, but the people I met during the course have become some of my closest friends. And our tutors, Jon & Lise, were so incredibly helpful and supportive. The location was great, there is lots of food to enjoy in the area, and the supermarket next door has some great ice cream selections for an afternoon pick-me-up. Like I said, the course is difficult and intense, and I endured a lot of sleep deprivation, but I came out the other side of this experience with a plethora of new skills, knowledge, and friendships on my belt.
